வெங்கலசெட்டிகுளம் பொது நூலகத்தின் இணைய நூற்பட்டியல்

வெங்கலசெட்டிகுளம் பிரதேசசபை பொதுநூலகம் 1972ல் கிராம சபையாக இருந்த காலப்பகுதியில் முதலியாH குளத்தில் முதன் முதலாக ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது இது 1984ம் ஆண்டுவரை அப்பகுதியில் இயங்கி பின்னH செட்டிகுளம் மத்தியபகுதியில் மைதானத்திற்கு அருகே தற்காலிகமாக இயங்கி வந்த நிலையில் வெங்கல செட்டிகுளம் பிரதேச சபை வளாகத்தில் தற்போது இயங்கும் இடத்தில் 2004ம் ஆண்டு தொடக்கம் இன்றுவரை இயங்கி வருகின்றதுஇ தமிழ்இ ஆங்கிலம்இ சிங்களம் உட்பட 12590 நூல்களை கொண்டுள்ளது. இந்நூலகத்திற்கான கிளை நூலகம் ஒன்றும் காணப்படுகின்றது. இக்கிளை நூலகமானது 6200 நூல்களுடன் 1992ல் பாவற்குளம் படிவம் இரண்டில் இயங்கி வந்தது. பின்னH 1996.10.28 தொடக்கம் பாவற்குளம்இ வாhpக்குட்டியூ+H எனும் இடத்தில் தரம் 111 நிலையில் (23.11.2007) தற்போது இறங்கி வருகின்றது.வெங்கல செட்டிகுளம் பொதுநூலகமானது 505 அங்கத்தவHகளையூம்இ 45 சிறுவH அங்கத்தவHகளையூம்இ 40 சபை உத்தியோகத்தHகளை அங்கத்தவHகளாகக் கொண்டும் இயங்கி வருகின்றது.ஒரு நாளில் 15 தொடக்கம் 30 வரை பயனாளHகள் இந்நூலகத்தைப் பயன் படுத்துகிறாHகள்.

2021 ஆம் ஆண்டில், தேசிய நூலக ஆவணவாக்கல் சேவைகள் சபையுடன் இணைந்து இலங்கை தகவல் தொடர்பாடல் தொழில்நுட்ப முகவர் (ICTA) நிறுவனத்தால் இப் பொது நூலகத்தில் "டிஜிட்டல் நூலக திட்டம்" நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. ஒரு மேம்பட்ட மற்றும் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட நூலக தன்னியமாக்கல் அமைப்பை வழங்குவதன் மூலமும், நவீன உள்கட்டமைப்பை அறிமுகப்படுத்துவதன் மூலமும், நாட்டில் நூலக அமைப்பின் தரம் மற்றும் செயல் திறனை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கு இது அவசியமாகின்றது. தற்போது நூலகம் பொதுமக்களுக்கு டிஜிட்டல் நூலக சேவைகளை வழங்குவதற்கு நவீன இலத்திரனியல் சாதனங்களுடன் முழுமையாக பொருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த ஆன்லைன் பொது அணுகல் பட்டியலாக்கம் (OPAC) மூலம் பயனர்கள் தேவையான புத்தகங்களை இலகுவாக தேடலாம், கண்டுபிடிக்கலாம், அதன் இருப்பிடத்தை அறியலாம் மற்றும் வைத்திருக்கலாம்.

The Vengalacheddikulam Public Library was founded in 1972 when the Predeshiya sabha was a Village council and had been used until 1984. Then the library relocated in the Predeshiya sabha premises and is being used by the people until now. It currently holds 12590 books in Tamil, English and Sinhala languages. The library has a branch and that is a grade iii library. First, it was located in 1992 at Pavatkulam unit 2, then it was relocated to Pavatkulam unit 5, Varikkuttyoor on 28.10.1996. The Vengalacheddikulam Public library has 505 members, 45 child members, and 40 sabha staff. The library has from 15 to 30 users visit per day.

In 2021, The Digital Libraries Project was implemented at this public library by the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) in collaboration with National Library and Documentation Services Board by providing an advanced and updated library automation system and introduced modern infrastructure which is in demand to improve the quality and efficiency of the library system in the country. Presently the library is fully equipped with modern electronic devices to provide digital library services to the public. Users can easily search, find, locate and hold required books through this Online Public Access Catalogue.
